I recently purchased a firearm online and it was shipped to an authorized FFL dealer. I didn’t use any of the firearm shops I normally deal with because I wanted to pick up my firearms after work and go straight home, so I chose a place close to my job. That was the biggest mistake ever. I’m usually delayed so, no problem. I’m usually called back the next day or within the 72 hour period; however, Academy Sports refuses to release my firearms to me and it’s been 2 weeks because they haven’t received a response back from NICS. I was told this could take up to 30 days and if still no response they will send my firearms back to the retailer and I will lose my money.
