Tina, we suggest you contact your local chapter’s leadership. They have a better pulse on the temperament of welcoming/friendly gun stores in your area.

Thank you for your comments and we appreciate your feedback. It would be more helpful if you provided us with your name and city/chapter affiliation so we can better analyze how we can help your area’s chapter with more exposure. We have 130 chapters and each club is responsible for community outreach in their area.

Regarding advertising, our clubs are very active on social media and are often featured in the news, thus eliminating the need for paid advertising. We will definitely ask our chapters to accept the challenge of securing radio interviews in their respective markets to reach more of the Black community.

In the past month, we reported how a few chapters and our national president landed media exposure on NPR, MSN, CNN, FOX, BET, Forbes, local print newspapers, radio stations, and online news outlets. In our 6/28 issue of the NAAGA Newsletter, we reported that NAAGA National President, Philip Smith and the Bass Reeves Gun Club were featured on CNN’s “Don Lemon Tonight”, ABC’s “The View”, and the story was picked up by more than 50 online news outlets. That story alone accounts for over 3 million impressions (TV viewers/internet clicks). But we know we can always do better, and appreciate you presenting this challenge to us.

We do not currently have a NYC chapter, but you may want to join a chapter in NY and travel a few times a year to attend outings. Please refer to our chapter list: naaga.co/chapters
