The Shooting League is a membership-based competition open to all NAAGA
members, welcoming participants of every skill level—from novice to master. Events
are held wherever NAAGA is represented, offering members broad opportunities to
engage and compete.

To ensure the quality and consistency of each event, League Area Directors have been
appointed to oversee and manage all shooting activities within their regions. They are
responsible for enforcing safety rules and regulations, maintaining scoring systems and
rankings, and coordinating schedules for both indoor and outdoor facilities.

Does participating in the NAAGA Shooting League cost money?

There may be some cost to participate. All costs will only cover the financial expenses of the range/ facility usage, and any materials cost. The NAAGA Area League Director position is a 100% volunteer position.

What Platform does the NAAGA Shooting League use to compile all Participants Scores?

The NAAGA Area League Directors will submit Participants Scores on the Practiscore app. Links and Instruction will be provided in our Area League Directors Training Meetings.

Do you have to belong to a NAAGA Chapter in order to participate in the Shooting League?

No, the NAAGA Shooting League operates in your respective communities under the guidance of an Area League Director.

Who gets to participate in the Shooting League Finale?

The season’s top-scoring participants.

What will the Shooting League finally consist of?

A shoot-off with the top scoring participants.

Who can become a NAAGA Area League Director?

Anyone who is passionate about the growth, Vision & Mission of NAAGA’s Shooting League and can meet the qualification requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be a registered active member of the National African American Gun Association (NAAGA).
  • NAAGA Certified Instructor preferred.
    (If not certified, a 12-month grace period is provided to attain certification.)
  • Be a Range Safety Officer (minimum certification required).
  • Certified in American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED or an equivalent certification.
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and/or computer databases.
  • Competitive shooting experience preferred, including but not limited to:
    IDPA, USPSA, PRS, NRL Hunter, GSSF, NSSF, or 3-Gun.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Manages a specific area (respective to your community) within the United States.
  • Enforces all rules and regulations of the Shooting League.
  • Maintains clean, safety-conscious, compliant, and effective programs.
  • Adheres to all regional, state, and local laws as required for gun safety standards.
  • Ensures control and integrity of the shooting sports program.
  • Maintains current and accurate program records, rankings, match results, materials, supplies, and equipment.
  • Keeps all required logs up to date online (Google Drive).
