BECOMING A SENIOR TRAINING COUNSELOR

HOW DO I APPLY?

To become a Senior Training Counselor, it is not a position that you can apply for. It must be something that NAAGA and the National Training Director offer you based on your due diligence as a Training Counselor.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

There are many qualities we look for when selecting a Senior Training Counselor. We want our candidates to possess a strong sense of integrity and character.

A Senior Training Counselor candidate must be an advocate for NAAGA. He or she is one who goes above and beyond the call of duty. This individual understands the ins and outs of NAAGA as an organization and has proven they know how to take a gateway student on a path to success. 

These are the qualifications a candidate must have to be considered for the position:

  1. You must be a NAAGA Certified Training Counselor for at least two years with active status. 
  2. You must be a current NAAGA member and must remain current during your tenure as a NAAGA Training Counselor.
  3. You must be at least 25 years old. 
  4. You must have at least $1,000,000 of liability insurance. 
  5. You must be a Range Safety Officer (RSO) certified with the NRA, USCCA, NAAGA, or a reputable company. 
  6. You must be certified and current in the following: First Aid, CPR, AED, and Stop the Bleed. 
  7. You must have taught at least 250 verifiable students (NAAGA Basic Pistol Course or NAAGA Concealed Carry Course).
  8. You must have taught at least 50 verifiable classes (NAAGA Basic Pistol Course or NAAGA Concealed Carry Course). 
  9. You must be able to retake and pass the NAAGA shooting qualification scoring a 90% or higher.
  10. You must be a NAAGA Certified Training Counselor for at least 5 years with active status.
