NAAGA Instructor Course Kickoff Date

The National African American Gun Association (NAAGA) is officially announcing its first proprietary firearms instructor’s course. The launching of the certification occurs on February 19th – 21st, 2021, in Atlanta, Georgia. Get ready for three days of rigorous training and an opportunity to sharpen your skills.

The development of the course is a significant milestone for NAAGA. This course will be an intensive 3-day certification for all who sign up. We will select and designate only the best, as the classification symbolizes excellence. The expectations include demonstrating your superior shooting skills, firearms knowledge, and the highest level of your teaching ability at the range and within the classroom environment.

The addition of our courses is part of a broader and more focused strategy. We are supporting the NAAGA community in becoming producers instead of only consumers. It is my hope we can train our 30,000+ members in the spirit of our legacy and to become known for our curriculum which compares to no other.

If you are interested in participating in the certified instructor inaugural class, send your bio and contact information to Training@naaga.co. Be on the lookout for selection announcements in mid-December.

Act Now! Limited seating is available. Please note this is an onsite training course only.

I am the son of a retired United States Airforce father. He was a shooter, and so was my grandfather and uncles. I was raised to be systematic in everything I do. In 1976 I was enrolled at North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. Afterwards some years were spent in retail as an assistant manager. Fifteen years was served in aerospace manufacturing as a “parts buyer,” and 15 year as a “global commodity manager.” In this role I evaluated, sourced and managed suppliers in Asia, Europe, Mexico and the US. I spent much time in these countries.

I have been a shooter for over 40 years. Mostly handguns. I currently own several handguns, rifles and shotguns. Much time was spent at our local gun ranges before Covid.

Currently I am retired and would love to become an instructor.
