Convention Update

NAAGA | Philip Smith, Founder & PresidentMessage from the President: Convention Update

As a result of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) public health emergency, the Inaugural Convention of the National African American Gun Association has been rescheduled to August 13, 14, & 15 of 2021. This was a tough decision, and after long discussions reviewing the current economic climate and uncertain trajectory of the virus, we decided to change the date so that every member of our firearms community could feel confident, safe, and welcomed as the family gathers next year in 2021.

I want to stress that this is not a decision we made lightly. We spoke to many of our partners, exhibitors, speakers and potential attendees, and the overwhelming consensus was that moving the Convention was most prudent. Our top priority is always the health and safety of the National African American Gun Association community. The NAAGA Executive Team and Convention Planning Committee are working with sponsors, exhibitors, guest speakers, venues, and volunteers to host the event as planned in 2021.

We hope and believe that this proactive and transparent move allows us all to adequately prepare for the Convention in August of 2021.

We understand that there will be questions and concerns following this announcement. For all registered attendees, you don’t have to do anything, and we will automatically transfer your registration to the new date of the rescheduled event.

For any other questions and concerns, please contact wearefamily@naaga.co.

Thank you for your continued support and active membership.
